Who do we cover?

We cover insurance and reinsurance on a variety of Bloodstock and Equine risks, including:

  • Stud farm operations, encompassing breeding and youngstock risks.
  • Racehorses – of both Flat and National Hunt codes.
  • Schedules of mixed use Bloodstock, owned privately or managed by professional trainers or managers.
  • Individual broodmares and breeding stallions.
  • High performance Equine and Sport Horse risks including Dressage horses, Show Jumping animals and Eventing performers.

What do we cover?

Our core, standard cover is for All Risks of Mortality, resulting from Accident, Illness, Disease or Death, including Theft.

Other Covers:

  • Stallion Permanent Disability - Coverage in the event of your Stallion being sick, injured or unable to breed
  • Transit - Cover for your horse during transit, whether by road or air, whilst in quarantine and for a period after arrival at its destination
  • First Season Infertility – Coverage against infertility of a stallion during its first season as stud
  • Loss of Income – Protection of stud fee income if a stallion cannot commence breeding duties
